Lash Extensions

Preparing for your Appointment

Please come to your appointment without eyemakup on if possible, eyes free of makeup residue. You'll be lying down with your eyes closed for 2.5+ hours. Wear comfortable clothing and try to avoid caffeine or lots of fluids before your appointment. Caffeine may cause your eyes to flutter which can make the lash application difficult and they may not end up as full because of this. I recommend using the restroom before your appointment, as getting up during your appointment will also take away time needed to get your lashes as full as possible. If you wear contacts and are  uncomfortable having your eyes closed for that long I recommend wearing your glasses to your appointment. Keep in mind you'll need to keep your lashes dry for 12 hours after your appointment, so please plan your workouts and showers accordingly.

Fills and Shedding

Our natural lashes grow in three phases and are always shedding and regrowing. Because of this I recommend coming for fills every 2-3 weeks to maintain fullness. During your lash fill appointment I remove any extensions that are lifting or too grown out and replace them with new extensions. I also add extensions to any new lashes that have grown in.

Wash your Lashes

Please wash your lashes daily with an oil-free, foaming cleanser. I retail a cleanser specifically for lashes that is gentle for the eye area. I also retail soft brushes for cleansing the lash area. Any type of oil, including natural oil from your skin will breakdown the lash adhesive and cause the extensions to lift and fall of prematurely. That's why it is so important to wash them daily in order to have the best retention. I also recommed washing your lashes right after a workout, or any activity that causes you to sweat. Washing your lashes is also important to keep them healthy. Clean lashes are happy lashes.

Products

Avoid using products with oil on and around the eye area, as oil will break down the lash adhesive. Avoid using mascara on the lashes as it will be difficult to remove and will clump the extensions together. Never use waterproof mascara on the extensions because you will have to use an oil-based product to remove it. Only use oil-free eye makeup remover. Use eye makeup remover before washing your lashes, not after. If you wear eyeliner, liquid and powder liners are best because they do not contain oil. Most pencil liners contain oil so I advise not using them if possible.

Brush your Lashes

I will always give you a clean mascara wand after your appointment. Please brush your lashes daily to keep them looking great!
